About Ondo Bakery

We are a Bakery & Brunch in the heart of downtown Ann Arbor

Ondo Bakery is an asian bakery in Ann Arbor, Michigan. It is listed at 324 S State St, Ann Arbor, MI 48104, which places it among the local businesses of Ann Arbor that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by.

Hours at these spots often run into the evening, later than a typical coffee shop, and many stay open on weekends when demand is highest in Ann Arbor. Seasonal and limited-time drink or dessert flavors are common, so a shop's current menu can differ from what is posted online; checking recent photos or calling ahead helps. Some locations in Michigan are dessert-only with no seating, meant for takeout, while others have cafe-style seating for staying a while. Straws for bubble tea are typically wide to accommodate the toppings, and are provided automatically unless you ask for a regular one. Loyalty apps and stamp cards are common at chain locations, and ordering ahead through an app can shorten a wait considerably at busy locations during peak after-school and after-dinner hours.

The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. On most of those days it is open 7 am–8 pm. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. No phone number is listed for this business, so the Google Maps link on this page is the best route for directions and any contact details Google has on file. Genuinely one of my favorite places to go when I'm in Ann Arbor. Every time I still get amazed by how low-priced everything is for how delicious and beautiful it is!!! Plus, the bakery itself is a nice, calm space with lots of seating. The drink selection has some great flavors at great prices. The tarts, danishes, croissant, and little cakes always take my breath away with their presentation. 10/10

Great selection of pastries and coffee! We visited during a business trip to the University of Michigan, and this quickly became one of our favorite coffee spots. We arrived around 8:00 a.m. when it was still relatively quiet, but within 30 minutes a line had formed, which speaks to its popularity. The cafΓ© is well-maintained and has a welcoming atmosphere. It was nice to see a mix of people working on their laptops, studying, or simply catching up with friends. A great place to enjoy quality coffee, delicious pastries, and a comfortable ambiance.

I was visiting from out of town and they have unique bakery items! I ordered a lot of croissant ones because I love anything croissant (first 3 pictures) but ordering one would be enough since they’re just a variety with different flavor cream or coating. The best one I’ve tried is the pistachio croissant, it had actual pistachio and the filling was so tasty and not just the usual sugar cream filling. I also had the matcha tiramisu from the case (right amount of bitter and sweet!) and black sesame latte (not pictured). They put the black sesame foam on top and black sesame has subtle flavor if you haven’t had it before. It was good but next time I want to try their other drinks! The price is a little high since it’s specialty bakery but worth trying if you’ve never had Asian bakery. They have WiFi, outdoor seating, plenty of indoor seating and bathroom. Gets pretty busy and crowded with students though but not hard to find a seat.

The lavender in the matcha tasted like real lavender and the staff whisked the matcha right in front of you. A real labor of care and love! The mousse cakes were not just pretty but very yummy! Raspberry Nutella heart and chocolate raspberry bear were our favs. I wish I lived nearby to come here everyday

Have you ever had a foodgasm? No seriously- Food so good you wanted to cry. That’s how I would describe their bakery items. We got the mocha donut, match donut, Danish pastry, and the biscoff latte. We basically wanted to order more so that we could find something that was β€œbad”….. mission failed successfully. The sitting area is so peaceful and clean, the workers were so kind. If you’re someone who doesn’t have a sweet tooth, I would still 100% recommend stopping by- none of their pastries were overly sweet everything was just perfect! If you’re visiting the area- YOU must try this place!
